Work Issues:: My boss is a micromanager and drives me crazy...advice needed and thoughts shared
I'm an INTJ Mastermind and I work for a super controling micromanager. He takes pure enjoyment in micromanaging me because 1) he knows I NEED my job, and 2) He has sociopathic tendencies and takes enjoyment in making others suffer with his "perceived" power. I really am at my wits end and could use some useful advice on how to deal with him. He refuses, absolutely, to give me any kind of freedom. I must say I am employed in academics and am an underling. Any constructive advice is much appreciated. thanks!

The Lounge:: Hello.
Greetings,

I was using the INTJ forum, but was kicked off for promoting my ideas stem-cells, memetics, and immortality - (I'm pro, not con) and seeking people to assist with actually starting a project to obtain such - I suspect that there are some fascist elements over there as they booted me with no warning whatsoever. disappointing. The description for the mail-list offerred on this site (which I joined) seems much more open and perhaps this forum will be too. If not, please to tell me to get lost before I invest my time/energy? Thanks.

Tyler Jordan aka 'ouragan' from intjforum.com

P.S. could we enable to upload our own avatars here please? I'm actually a XOOPS developer - so I know this is possible. If not, please add more avatars besides the two there now.

cheers.

Re: gay ENFP wants to know where to find gay INTJs [by prplmnky]

Relationships:: gay ENFP wants to know where to find gay INTJs
Hmm, it can't be too hard. You just have to know where to look You see, we INTJ are too busy building death machines in our dimly lit one bedroom abodes to dare waste our times with what humans may call "social interaction".

But, during our regularly planned leisure time we usually haunt random internet forums. Just pick a subject: music theory, physics, photography, linux, battlestar gallactica, etc. and you'll probably find on us. Perhaps gaygamers.net in your case? Just look for the insanely nerdy and slightly sarcastic poster. Are there any comic book stores, sci-fi/anime conventions, university lectures in that area? Just start a conversation on some esoteric subject, and make sure that subject interests you too.

On a personal note, I'm also gay and I'm weary of picking possible mates based on MBTI. I usually rank it on (1) religious/political views, (2) outgoing-ness, (3) cleverness. I found that even if I click with someone, constantly defending/advocating my deeply held views gets really taxing, quickly.

I hope I could help.

The Lounge:: 'ello fellow masterminds ^_^
My story is similiar of that post which precedes mine; I too stumbled upon a Jung Typology test and was pegged as INTJ....and when I saw "Rational Mastermind" everything came into focus... I started learning more about myself and the other temperments....and it is mind-blowing.

Anyway, of course my intrests include computers; everything about the profile fits me to a tee. I'm just glad I can find others that think like me ^_^

/openingrant

What makes the site run? [by Briggy]

About the Site:: What makes the site run?
For those who might be interested in the inner workings of this site, it is driven by a MySQL database on the back end and coded in PHP, using a content management system called Xoops. In layman's terms, the design allows open source modules to be plugged into the site framework, extending the functionality of the site. In a number of cases, these modules have been tweaked to make them more useful for this site.

Required Reading [by Briggy]

The Arts:: Required Reading
If you had to make a list of the books that you consider the most helpful in understanding or appreciating the INTJ personality, what would you include on your list?

Years ago, on the old list, Frank Herbert's The Dosadi Experiment, was considered by many to be an essential work. No doubt, there are many others as well. Thoughts?
